Mrs. Gregory's Female Academy--This flourishing and popular seminary of learning in our city, has just closed its exercies for the past scholastic year, after a successful and encouraging session.....Costly and beautiful premiums were awarded to the following young ladies who distinguished themselves during the session.
In the first class, English branches: Misses Virginia Godwin, Ella Rhea, Mary Parsons, Frankie Godwin, Drunnett Sharrott, Lummie Crismond, and Laura Matthews.
Second class: Misses Mary Cunningham, Alice Parsons, Martha Bryson, Mary Nelms, Mary Jane Galilee, Betty White, Georgie Parker, Margaret O'Connor, Mary Ann Curtin, Sarah Stokes, and Annie Lawrence.
Third Class: Misses Lily Cherry, Anna Wilder, Mary Hearn, Emma Bush, Adelia Cunningham, Mary Fitzpatrick, Annie Bear, Kate Kelly, Margaret McDonough, Nina Albert, and Mary Malone.
