Racheal Cassell
Portsmouth--Racheal B. Cassell, 66, of 1012 Centre Ave., died Thursday in a hospital.
She was a native of Portsmouth and the widow of William R. Cassell Sr. She was a member of Fellowship United Church of Christ and the PTA and president of Loyalty Social and Savings Club.
Survivors include six daughters, Anna L. Cassell and Eleanor R. Yarbra, both of Jamaica, N.Y., and Winifred L. Cassell, Harriet Lee, Helen C. Hill and Edwina D. Jacobs, all of Portsmouth; three sons, William R. Cassell, Jr., of the Bronx, N.Y., and George A. Cassell and John C. Cassell, both of Portsmouth; two sisters, Bernice B. Owens of New York City and Marian B. Walker of Portsmouth; a brother, William J. Brown of Elizabeth City; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fellowship United Church of Christ by the Rev. W. E. Waugh. Burial will be in the Cassell famiy cemetery, Chesapeake, with Fisher Funeral Home in charge.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday.
