Henry C. Cassell Jr.
Portsmouth--Henry Carroll Cassell Jr., 58, of 230 Plover Drive, a native of Portsmouth and the husband of the late Mrs. Sumie Nakazawa Cassell, died Tuesday in Veterans Administration Hospital, Hampton.
He was a Production Department employee of General Foam Plastics, Norfolk. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Evelyn C. Gould of Portsmouth, and an uncle, A. P. Sparkman of Lynchburg.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Olive Branch Cemetery, with Foster Funeral Home in charge. The body will be cremated.

Cassell, Jr.; one daugther, Evelyn Coston Cassell; one brother, Virginius Cassell, of Portsmouth, and two sisters, Mrs. F. S. Cooke and Mrs. C. R. Lowe, borth of Portsmouth. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

H. Carroll Cassell, aged 48, who died Wednesday night at 11:45 o'clock in the residence, 1822 County street, will be buried today in Oak Grove cemetery. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 o'clock in St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Mr. Cassell was the son of Virginius O. And Mrs. Elisa Cooke Cassell. He is also survived by one son, H. Carroll Cassell; a daughter, Evelyn Coston Cassell; two sisters, Mrs. F. S. Cooke and Mrs. C. R. Lowe; and a brother, Virginius C. Cassell, all of this city.
Mr. Cassell was a civil engineer and engaged in that work for a number of years.

Funeral services at St. Paul's Catholic Church this (Friday) morning at 11 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.

H. Carroll Cassell, son of Virginius and Mrs. Mary Eliza Cooke Cassell, who died Wednesday night in his residence, 1822 County Street, was buried yesterday in Oak Grove Cemetery. Funeral service, which was largely attended, was conducted at 11 o'clock in St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Rev. Joseph Jurgens, assistant pastor, and the Rev. F. Joseph Magri, pastor, officiating.
As the funeral party entered the church John Thompson, Jr., sang "Lead Kindly Light." As the funeral party left the church he sang "Face to Face."
The casket was covered with a spray of lilies. There were numerous other floral tributes.
The pallbearers were as follows: S. B. Carney, Jr., Paul Bunting, John J. Cassell, Edward R. McMahon, John E. Mason, T. Clarence Cooke, Horace Sparkman, and Dr. T. S. Cooke.
